DESERAH TELLES
PRESIDENT
Deserah is the founder of TMR. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She specializes in integrating counseling and Christianity. She has a PhD in Philosophy in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior.
She specializes in working with challenging life experiences, trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, substance use and defiant behaviors. Deserah is a mental health advocate and champion of underserved communities, providing trauma responsive care through crises. Deserah provides trauma and gender responsive care consultations and trainings for organizations. She prides herself on integrating restorative justice practices throughout her work.
Her motto is “I try to be who I needed when I was younger”. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, writing, volunteering with local nonprofits, bible studies, and hanging out with friends and family.
CAROLINE ESCOBAR
Caroline Escobar has dedicated much of her time working with youth, families, and the community, following her late grandfather Edward Rendon's footsteps in works to preserve East Austin, where she calls home. Caroline has worked as a restorative justice coordinator in schools for much of her career, focusing on having respectful and authentic relationships with every student she encounters. Caroline sees herself in many of the youth, she has worked with, and believes each student should have someone they can go to, to be heard and respected while navigating through their teenage life, as her late teacher John Garcia did for her. Caroline thanks God that he has given her the ability to pay it forward with all the youth she has worked with. Caroline Escobar is a graduate from Houston-Tillotson with a BA in Sociology, a licensed chemical dependency counselor intern, and a case manager at American Youthworks.
She is married to her husband, Nicholas Escobar, and has four children. She is a local activist in her area, co-founder of CLOUT Treatment, and event designer.
BARBARA LOGAN
Barbara Logan is an army spouse and military women's ministry influencer currently living at Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX, with her husband, Dalton, and their three high-spirited children.
Barbara has over ten years of experience in women's ministries:
over six years of experience in biblical teaching and writing biblical studies for community ministries
over five years of experience working alongside para-ministries, fundraising, and other charitable events.
Barbara has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and utilizes her time to equip others how to build ministry- to- Kingdom Business with transformational concepts of educating and equipping leaders in the nonprofit sector.
She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Christian Leadership to help strengthen the ministries in the Network with sound biblical principles and theological knowledge as the center leading of managing ministry operations and strategic consulting that aspires leaders to reach their individual goals in ministry.
DESIRAE FLETCHER
Desirae Fletcher is a Public Health professional with over 6 years of progressive experience in the non-profit sector. Desirae holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, majoring in Public Health. She has notable business experience in various roles as a trainer for volunteers, event planner, and program /manager. She is passionate about community outreach and impact. She’s played a large role in implementing a variety of programs in Greater Austin and surrounding areas’ communities, hospitals and institutions in her most recent position as a Health Strategies Specialist. She has familiarized herself with social determinants of health in her communities, coordinated 700+ attendees’ event, and signed huge hospital systems on with algorithm programs targeting hypertension and cholesterol rates. She has worked with grant recipients and helped provide funding for many non-profits throughout Williamson County in her role as Director of Community Impact and Engagement with United Way of Williamson County. She has municipality experience in her latest role working with the Office of Police Oversight.
Desirae and her husband James are native Austinites and share two children, a son and a daughter. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors bike riding with her family. Some of her other hobbies include traveling, visiting parks throughout Austin and Round Rock, reading, attending bible studies and family sporting events.
